The story begins with Ranga (srikanth) who is a thief and he believes in robbing those police officers who are corrupt. While he is successful at that, he is also successful in winning the heart of inspector Mangamma (vimala). On the other hand, Ranga has got a strong liking for faction films, faction fights and his favourite is actor Jayaprakash Reddy. However, his life takes a turn when he sees a real life factionist Bhavani Prasad (srikanth again) and sequence of events get Ranga into Bhavani’s place.
